Wollen is to want, rather than to like. We tend to think of them in English as the same verb, but they're not. November 22, "Would like" and "want" are basically synonyms, with "would like" being more polite.
To my understanding "möchten" and "wollen" are the same, with möchten being the more polite. Möchtest Du Tee?
